This house on the Georges River was predominantly a new home built within the original site, with only one existing wall retained. Client-led in its design and specification, the project creates a generous family home with expansive living spaces and a strong connection to the river.
The new home includes three bedrooms, large open-plan living, dining and kitchen spaces, soaring ceilings, a built-in BBQ and outdoor entertainment area with pool. A large void at the entrance creates a strong sense of scale. Access was a significant challenge, with the property reached via a steep 300-metre shared driveway serving several homes. Works also included upgrading the existing wharf, strengthening the connection between the home and the Georges River.
